\u00a0profondamente lacerata fra un sincero affetto per il marito (che l&#8217;ha sposata in seconde nozze) e la tormentosa\u00a0nostalgia di un antico amore, \u00a0che riemerge dal passato a reclamare prepotentemente i suoi diritti. \u00a0Sensibile al fascino dell&#8217;ignoto, \u00a0Ellida vagheggia il mare aperto della sua giovinezza, \u00a0la casa paterna davanti all&#8217;Oceano, \u00a0a cui l&#8217;ha strappata un matrimonio borghese che, \u00a0mentre le d\u00e0 sicurezza, \u00a0la imprigiona fra le pareti di un fiordo, \u00a0in una modesta citt\u00e0 balneare troppo angusta
