vicenda si svolge nell&#8217;antica Grecia, \u00a0durante la Guerra del Peloponneso. \u00a0Un curioso incidente ha turbato la quiete di Abdera, \u00a0sonnolenta citt\u00e0 di provincia affacciata sul mare di Tracia. \u00a0Il dentista Strutione viene citato in giudizio dall&#8217;asinaio Antrace per essersi incautamente seduto all&#8217;ombra dell&#8217;asino che questi gli ha noleggiato. \u00a0&#8220;Una cosa \u00e8 l&#8217;asino e un&#8217;altra la sua ombra!&#8221;, \u00a0sostiene Antrace reclamando un compenso aggiuntivo per l&#8217;uso dell&#8217;ombra. \u00a0La questione mette in grave imbarazzo l&#8217;autorit\u00e0 giudiziaria, \u00a0mentre i cittadini di Abdera verranno ben presto a schierarsi in due contrapposti partiti. \u00a0Alla fine la controversia degenera ed a farne
